Whilst many British punters will allegedly wager over £500 million on this weekends Grand National and some 600 million worldwide global audience will tune in, the meeting is also just as well known as being a place for plenty of ladies to look glamorous particularity on Friday’s Ladies Day wearing the killer Christian Louboutin heels and short sexy mini dresses.
As it mentions on the Aintree website: “There is no strict dress code but smart dress is preferable.” This smart is open to interpretation and as there is no specific dress code, the young beauties, WAG’s and many celebrities go all out at the racecourse to impress. Many of these ladies and are shunning calls for a stricter dress code as some outfits can not only be glamorous but also quite raunchy. You will find Aintree is a great girls or a couples day out, where you can have a flutter and some fun on the raceday but its certainly a place where you will see plenty of ultra white teeth, voluminous long hair, fake tan, tight very short dresses with legs in heels on show, no matter what the weather.
If wanting to get it right on Ladies Day at Aintree, you can still keep it fun and flirty but it can be good to find a number that fits the bill but which is not too raunchy to help you stand out in a stylish and classy way. One person who got it right and often does at Aintree was celebrity & model Danielle Lloyd, who this year and last year wore a doll like dress. Danielle opted for a pleated radiant coral number, peep toe high heeled nude shoes and bag, with matching fascinatior, this year which has been heavily approved and photographed by the press.
